CALDO de TORTILLA (Tortilla Soup)
Prepared to order with crispy tortilla strips in savory chicken stock, topped with Mexican cheese. This soup is made with a touch of chipotle and our signature seasonings. Served with cilantro.
DESCRIPTIONS OF MEXICAN FOOD
All meat entrees are beef (tamales ar pork) unless specified otherwise by menu or customer
BURRITO (Boo-RREE-toh)
Rolled flour tortilla stuffed with beef, topped with onion sauce.
CARNITAS (Kahr-NEE-tahs)
Chunks of cooked pork used in many diferent Mexican foods.
CHALUPA (Cha-LOO-pah)
Flath corn tortilla with beans, sprinkled with cheese, topped with lettuce and guacamole.
CHILE RELLENO (Chee-lay-re-yeh-no)
Poblano pepper stuffed with cheese, egg battered and pan fried .
CHIPOTLE (Chih-POHT-lay)
Aztec word meaning smoke-cured chile, and vary from rather mild to el schorcho hot. The smokiness makes such peppers excellent in sauces.
Dried & smoked jalapeño peppers are currently most commonly used in this preparation.
CHORIZO (Cho-REE-soh)
Spicy pork sausage used in a variety of items such as eggs, tamales or burritos.
DORITOS (Doh-REE-tohs)
Tortillas, cut and fried crisp.
ENCHILADA (Ehn-chee-LAH-tha)
Rolled corn tortilla stuffed with beef, topped with cheese & sauce.
GUACAMOLE (Gwa-kah-MOH-leh)
Avacado based dip or salad.
MEXICAN SALAD
Lettuce, topped with cheese, tomatos, guacamole, sour cream & ranchero sauce.
MOLE (moh-LAY)
A mixture containing chile and chocolate, used as a sauce on a wide variety of menu items.
QUESADILLA (Ke-sah-DEE-Yah)
Grilled flour tortilla folded in half and stuffed with cheese.
TACO (TAH-Koh)
Crispy fried corn or soft flour tortilla folded and filled with beef, lettuce and cheese.
TAMALE (Tah-MAHL-ay)
Savory meat fillings steamed in corn meal casings.
TORTILLA (Tohr-TEE-yah)
Thin corn or flour pancake used as basis for many menu items.
TOSTADA (Tohs-TAH-tha)
Crispy flat corn tortilla covered with beef, lettuce & cheese.
